$25.00
Limited Availability

Size : 2.5” pot.

Rare scale : 8/10

Plant Care :

Light: Bright, direct light for optimal growth and flowering, ideally 6-8 hours daily. A south or west-facing window is ideal for indoor growing. In regions with scorching summers, provide afternoon shade. Be cautious when moving the plant from shade to full sun to avoid sunburn.

Water: Water sparingly during the summer, allowing the soil to dry out completely between waterings. Reduce watering frequency significantly in winter, as the plant goes dormant. Overwatering can cause root rot, which is a common problem. Watering every 1-2 weeks (in hot, arid environments) during the growing season (spring and summer) is a general guideline. In winter, watering can be reduced to once every 4-6 weeks.

Soil: Use a well-draining cactus mix or a soil with coarse sand, pumice, or perlite. Use pots with drainage holes to allow excess water to escape.

Temperature: Mammillaria’s prefer warm temperatures, ideally between 70-80°F (21-27°C) during their active growing season. They can tolerate temperatures down to 50°F (10°C) in winter, which encourages spring flowering. This specific variety is cold-intolerant and should be brought indoors if temperatures are expected to drop below freezing.
